Jefferson Parish to announce two music festivals happening in the next month

Jefferson Parish council members and tourism leaders are meeting Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. to announce two new music festivals that will take place in Jefferson Parish over the next 30 days.

Violet Peters, president and CEO of the Jefferson Convention and Visitors Bureau, released the following statement regarding the events:

“We are eager to reveal the music lineups of two major music festivals returning to Jefferson Parish in the next 30 days. These outdoor events will lead the revival of festivals across the region. Our festival organizers have assembled impressive lineups, complete with national chart-toppers and local musicians, some of whom will be playing to a live audience for the first time since the pandemic shut down music events. With over 1.5 million Louisianans fully vaccinated and the Center for Disease Control’s opinion that people have a lower risk of contracting a virus outdoors, we are hopeful that these planned events will lead to the hospitality-related resurgence that is necessary to rev tourism economic engines.”

The tourism leaders will also showcase the talent lineups for the upcoming festivals.
