Some good news for a New Orleans icon who has been battling the coronavirus.
“King of Crawfish” icon Al Scramuzza was released from the hospital Thursday night.
His family says he is now in a respiratory rehab facility, where he will remain for up to a week while he works to regain his energy and strength.
Last week, his granddaughter announced he was in the ICU after falling ill.
In the 1950s, he popularized eating mudbugs, another name for crawfish.
He was well known for his Seafood City commercials during the 1980s.
