WATCH: Ellen surprises New Orleans nurses in Ochsner Baptist NICU

Ellen DeGeneres made a generous donation to a group of nurses who rode out Hurricane Ida at Ochsner Baptist Hospital in New Orleans.

The four nurses, Paula, Kimberly, Kristi and Michelle were of the 65 nurses who chose to stay during the storm to care for the babies in the NICU.

They were featured on Ellen’s show on Monday and were surprised with a $100,000 to the Ochsner Employee Assistance Fund, which directly helps healthcare workers in need of assistance with recovery efforts.
